Dr. Lee Newton has provided eye care services in Bay County since October, 2000.

Originally from Lapeer County, he attended Central Michigan University for his undergraduate education then graduate school at the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University.

Rigorously independent, Dr. Newton has owned and operated his practice since the day he was originally licensed to practice. As practice owner, he remains in total control of connecting patients with the very best diagnostic and treatment alternatives.

Recognizing that the eye care industry is constantly advancing based on new technologies and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Newton remains enthusiastic about new ways to treat eye and vision challenges and is pleased to be able to incorporate many advanced treatment protocols into his practice model.

He resides in Bangor Township with his wife, Mollie, and daughters Anika and Chloe (both college students as of fall 2024).

Dr. Newton’s hobbies are music and real estate development. He has played the saxophone most of his life and has played at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square and Las Vegas. He likes to apply his construction experience to help other doctors build and develop their own real estate. To date, he has constructed offices for therapy centers, chiropractors, financial professionals, skilled tradespeople, and other eye doctors.

Dr. Newton is a multiple best-selling author and his latest publication entitled A New Housing Paradigm describes re-defining affordable housing in our country.

He is a member of the Rotary Club of Bay City and serves as Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority of Bangor Township as well as on the Board of Trustees of both the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation and McLaren Bay Region Hospital, where he is Chairman of the Professional Affairs Committee.
